Cooper's Strong 5000m Performance Highlights the David Hemery Valentine Invite

BOSTON, MASS - John Cooper turned in the second-fastest indoor 5000m time in program history with a time of 14:22.22 at the David Hemery Valentine Invite on Friday. Cooper finished in seventh place in his heat.
Liam Maurillo and Eli Roth recorded PRs in the 1000m. Maurillo posted a time of 2:28.07. His previous best time in this event was 2:29.91. Meanwhile, Roth recorded a time of 2:28.32, roughly two seconds faster than his previous best mark.
Daniel Cortese put down a time of 4:11.61 in the mile. He shaved five seconds off of his top time entering the meet.
