DAVIDSON, N.C. – Senior sprinter Josh Hardin was named the Atlantic 10 Men's Track Performer of the Week on Tuesday.
The fourth-year man out of Bluff City, Tenn. clocked a school-record time of 47.58 seconds in the 400-meters at Boston University's David Hemery Invitational. This time snapped Hardin's previous banked-track record of 47.99 which he set at the same meet a year ago. His mark was good enough for seventh in the event out of over 200 entries and is currently the A-10's fastest time so far this indoor season.
Hardin also climbed the A-10 rankings in the 200-meters after posting a time of 21.91 seconds. This time was the third-fastest banked-track time in program history behind teammate Jayden Smith. It also was Hardin's career-indoor-best and puts him tied for seventh in the Atlantic 10.
This week marked the men's program's fourth A-10 weekly honor of the indoor season. The Wildcats collected four indoor weekly honors last season with two won by Joe dosReis and one each by Jayden Smith and Jordan Benson.
