Three Wildcats Advance Through First Round of NCAA East Prelims

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Jayden Smith, Cory Gaither and Bryce Anthony have advanced through the first round of NCAA East Preliminaries at Indiana University Bloomington.
Jayden Smith's time of 13.58 in the 110m hurdles was the eighth fastest time at the meet and the second fastest in his heat, handily advancing to Friday's quarterfinals. Gaither and Anthony both advanced to Friday's quarterfinals in the 400m hurdles with times of 50.39 and 51.50 respectively. Anthony's time was the fifth fastest of the 24 athletes that qualified.
Pending any weather delays, the 110m hurdles quarterfinal is scheduled for Friday at 6:15 pm and the 400m hurdles on Friday at 7:25 pm.
