NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Davidson freshman Issy Morgan has been named to the Atlantic 10's All-Rookie team in a vote conducted by the league's 14 head coaches, the conference announced Tuesday.

Morgan is the only member of the All-Rookie Team not from Saint Joseph's and is the first Wildcat to be named to the team since Suzi-Rose Deegan earned the honor in 2020.

A point guard from Sydney, Australia, Morgan has made an immediate impact for the Wildcats during her rookie season, appearing in all 28 regular season games and starting in the final 11. In her first year, she has averaged 7.5 points per game, while scoring in double-figures nine times. With a career-high 19 points against Florida Atlantic back on Nov. 27, Morgan is second on the team for the Wildcats in total assists (68) and sits top-8 across the conference with a 38.1% three-point percentage.

"Issy has been fantastic for us this season," said Head Coach Gayle Fulks. "Her leadership right from the get-go has been big on the court with the way that she communicates and really brings her teammates together. She had a great year and the future is really bright. I couldn't be happier for her and this recognition she's earned from the conference."

Morgan and the rest of the Wildcats will hit the road tomorrow morning and head to Wilmington, Del. for the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championship Tournament. Davidson will tip off against Richmond in the second round on Thursday, March 3 at 11 a.m.
