
Burkholder Earns A-10 Title on Day 1 of Indoor Championships

FAIRFAX, Va. - The Davidson track and field team performance on Day 1 of the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships was highlighted by Davidson's newest A-10 Pole Vault Champion Megan Burkholder and a new record set by Ben Gordon-Sniffen in the 1000m.
The 'Cats also earned a huge victory in the DMR with the team of Owen Drometer, Cory Gaither, Ben Gordon-Sniffen and Joe dos Reis.
After their performances in the prelims, Anna Davis (60H and 500m), Kierra Marshall (200m), Rachel Horowitz (200m and 400m), Bianca Nolde-Lopez (400m), Breila Fuller (1000m and mile), Riley Dodd (high jump) and Abby Nasse (3k), Emily Henkel (3k) and Anne Berquist (3k) will all compete on Sunday on the women's side.
On the men's side, Jayden Smith, Cory Gaither and Bryce Anthony will move to Sunday's final in the 60H after sweeping the prelims, Josh Hardin will run in the 200m and 400m and Gordon-Sniffen will look to better his time in the 1000m. Also moving to Sunday's competition is Jack Muldoon (800m), Dos Reis (mile), Drometer (mile), Owen Lekki (mile), Kenny Eheman (3k), Charlie Siebert (3k), Jordan Benson (high jump), and Bryce Anthony and William Holden-Wingate will finish the second day of the heptathlon.
The meet will be closed out on Sunday with the 4x800 and 4x400 teams.
