
Records Continue to Fall on Day Two of Valentine Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. - On the second day of the BU Valentine Invitational, the Davidson men's track and field team followed suit and broke three school records on Saturday.
Just like the women on Friday, the record in the 4x400 relay was broken by Bryce Anthony, Cory Gaither, Isaac Bynum and Josh Hardin. With the first three splits of 48.349, 49.188, 51.701, Hardin ran a 47.089 in the final leg to help break the previous record of 3:17.29 with a time of a 3:16.33.
Aside from his part in setting the 4x400 relay record, Hardin set a new school record of his own in the 400m, breaking Jacob Hostetler's record of 48.51 from 2019 by running a 48.34 on Saturday. Joe dos Reis set the third new record of the day in the mile with a mark of 4:03.53, taking down Will Brewster's record of 4:10.21 from the A-10 Championships in 2017.
Charlie Siebert ran the fastest 5k by a freshman in school history with a time of 14:30.87. Owen Drometer's time of 4:06.78 in the mile also beat the previous school record. Cory Gaither placed fifth overall in the 60m hurdles, running an 8.04.
