Davidson Falls to Colonials in Three

WASHINGTON D.C. -- After winning five of their last six Atlantic 10 matches, including a 3-0 sweep of the Colonials on Friday night, the Davidson Wildcats fell in three sets to George Washington University on Saturday.
Overall, the Colonials swung .342 at the net despite Davidson's .248 attacking percentage.
Emma Slusser and Isabel Decker led the Wildcats' offense with 10 kills apiece while Slusser swung a match-best .529 and Jackie Bardin added nine kills.
On the other side, George Washington's MC Daubendiek totaled 15 kills with a .462 attacking percentage, while leading the Colonials to 10 total blocks.
Saturday's result moves Davidson to 12-2 in A-10 play and 18-6 overall with four matches left in the regular season.

Davidson will return to action back inside Belk Arena next week as the 'Cats welcome George Mason for a weekend series. Match one will be played on Friday night at 7 p.m. followed by a 1 p.m. contest on Sunday. Sunday's game will also be the program's Senior Day, as Davidson will celebrate Paige Johnson, Julia Black and Anela Davis prior to first serve.
