‘Cats Sweep Colonials Friday

WASHINGTON D.C. -- The Davidson volleyball team picked up its eighth road victory of the season on Friday with a 3-0 sweep of the George Washington Colonials.
Davidson will meet the Colonials for one more Atlantic 10 bout Saturday afternoon for a 3 p.m. first serve.
In the win, the 'Cats hit a dominant .316 while holding GW's offense to just a .058 attacking percentage.
Despite narrowly winning set one, 25-22, the Wildcats bounced back with 26 kills over the final two sets to cruise to the Atlantic 10 victory.
Rookie Emma Slusser led the way with 11 kills while hitting .625 as four other 'Cats also hit above .600.
Senior Anela Davis had an incredible night at the net, totaling three solo blocks and seven assists. Bella Brady also added 15 digs while freshman Jackie Bardin collected eight kills and four block assists.
Up NextDavidson will meet the Colonials for one more Atlantic 10 bout Saturday afternoon for a 3 p.m. first serve.
