PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — A second-quarter scoring barrage was too much for the Davidson field hockey team to overcome Friday in a 3-0 Atlantic 10 Conference loss at La Salle.
The Explorers scored three times in an eight-minute span to get the lead they needed. Two of those goals came off the stick of one of the league's top offensive threats, Tatum Johnson.
La Salle finished with an 11-2 advantage in shots and a 7-3 lead in corners.
Anna Sharp and Bella Worthington had shots-on-goal for Davidson, with their third-quarter attempts being saved in the 37th and 45th minutes, respectively.

The Wildcats will visit non-conference foe Villanova at 12 p.m. Sunday.
