SO LONG, SENIORS
Today, we honor the six seniors of the Davidson field hockey program, who have dedicated four years to the Wildcats. The group has combined for 25 goals, 24 assists, 10 defensive saves, and 74 points. Today, we recognize midfielder Hannah Fisher, forward Paige Albert, and defenders Anna Brewer, Morgan French, Lauren Gampper, and Kate Meeks.
SCOUTING THE BILLIKENS
Saint Louis enters the weekend with a 4-9 overall record, the most wins in two seasons. The Billikens strung together a three-game win streak earlier this season, defeating LIU Brooklyn, Colgate, and Central Michigan. SLU nearly upset league-powerhouse No. 24 UMass, falling 3-2. The Billikens will make a stop in Boone Friday, facing App. State before taking on the Wildcats Saturday. The squad is led by former A-10 Player of the Week Carly Kissinger, who has posted five goals and 14 total points.
SCOUTING THE DEMON DEACONS
Wake Forest enters Sunday ranked number 13 in the country, despite only boasting a 9-6 (2-3 ACC) record. The Deacs are led by junior Jule Grashoff, whose 37 points rank her amongst the top in the nation. Wake will take on conference foe Boston College Friday before facing the 'Cats on Sunday.
THE LAST MEETINGS
Davidson defeated the Billikens in St. Louis last season, winning 4-2 after finding production from a trio of now alums. Then-sophomore Courtney Byler recorded a helper in the contest, her team and league-best 10th of the year.
Last year, the Deacs were Davidson's first ranked opposition of the season, where the team fell 6-0 in Winston-Salem. Then-junior Anna Brewer logged the team's first defensive save of the season.
