
'Cats Tallies Five Top-10 Finishes at VertKlasse Meeting

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Continuing the outdoor season at the High Point VertKlasse Meeting, Davidson track and field posted five top-10 finishes April 1-2 at Dick Vert Stadium.
Tori Long registered a top-10 finish in the 400-meter event, placing eighth among a competitive field. The rookie stopped the clock at 59.14. In the 200-meter, Long crossed the line in 27.33 to take 62nd overall.
Sean Caveney and Charles Rappe led the way in the 110-meter hurdles, placing fourth and fifth, respectively. Caveney clocked a 15.07, while Rappe finished in 15.15.
Jacob Hostetler registered a top-10 finish in the 400-meter event, placing 10th among a competitive field. The sophomore stopped the clock at 50.80. In the 200, Hostetler crossed the line in 22.44 to take 22nd overall.
In addition to Hostetler's performance in the 200-meter, Jalin Jackson clocked a 23.04, while Jerry Chang recorded a time of 23.18.
The 4x100 meter relay raced to a 10th place finish. The foursome of Cole Reynolds, Xzavier Killings, Jerry Chang and Jalin Jackson registered a time of 43.55.
Racing in Palo Alto, Calif., at the Stanford Invitational, senior Patrick Rollo finished 36th overall in the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.77. The time, an outdoor career-best for Rollo, is also the second-fastest time among Atlantic 10 leaders.
