Scholarship Message Central to DAF Fundraising Efforts

The Davidson Athletic Fund spring video appeal features two student athletes who share their stories on the impact scholarship had on their decision to attend Davidson. Head Coach Bob McKillop is also featured as he confirms the great impact athletic scholarships have in the ability to recruit top scholar athletes from across the country and around the globe.
Shamael Chaudry '18 and Sabrina Shephard '19 are two examples of students who had strong Division I options, but they were able to choose Davidson because of the support we were able to offer them.
Davidson currently provides the lowest number of athletic scholarship equivalencies in the Atlantic 10 Conference, and we often lose elite Division I recruits to schools that have academic standards as high as Davidson's but can offer students more scholarship dollars. In order to yield more scholar athletes annually, we must close this gap.
