RALEIGH, N.C. – Against a competitive field, the Davidson track program registered a strong first day at the 2016 Raleigh Relays.
Junior Hannah Reiden continued her successful junior campaign, running the 800-meter event in a time of 2:12.29 to take 12th overall. The Wildcats did not have to wait long for the next finisher as senior Brigid Behrens crossed the line in 2:14.00 to take 15th overall.
Caroline Yarbrough placed 24th in the 5,000-meter. The rookie clocked a 17:33.90 amongst a competitive field. Allison Cheeseman took 51st overall with a time of 18:14.23.
Sarah Sears registered a time of 4:39.13 in the 1,500-meter event.
On the men's side, Walker Mogen stopped the clock at 14:28.45 to place 22nd in the 5,000-meter event. Daniel Samet raced in the lengthy 10,000-meter. The senior covered the distance in 30:45.54 to rank 46th overall.
The Wildcats will conclude action at the Raleigh Relays tomorrow.
