Strong Showing For Wildcats at Charlotte 49er Classic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charles Rappe earned a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles as the Davidson men's track and field team concluded the 2016 Charlotte 49ers Classic at Irwin Belk Track, Saturday.
In the 400-meter hurdles final, Charles Rappe stopped the clock at 54.11 to take fourth-place overall. Rappe qualified for the finals Saturday with a time of 54.92.
The Davidson 4x400 meter team raced to a seventh place finish. The foursome posted a time of 3:24.85.
Amir Pappu was the first Wildcat to cross in the 800-meter race. Pappu clocked a 1:56.71 to take 21st-place over. Rollo finished the half-mile in 1:58.68 to rank 30th overall.
Davidson returns to action next weekend. The Wildcats will head the Winthrop Invitational (March 24-26) and the Raleigh Relays (March 25-26).
