Football Announces 2015 Schedule, Homecoming Set For Oct. 3

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Six home games at Richardson Stadium highlight the 2015 Davidson football schedule, head coach Paul Nichols announced Monday afternoon.
After playing 12 contests last season, the Wildcats have 11 games on the slate, which features three non-conference opponents. Davidson opens the 2015 season at The Citadel on Saturday, Sept. 5.
Davidson will welcome Catawba for the second-straight year at Richardson Stadium on Sept. 12, before the Wildcats begin league play on the road against Morehead State at 1 p.m. on Sept. 26.
Davidson will then return home for two-straight weeks, as it hosts Valparaiso on Oct. 3 for its annual Homecoming Game and Kentucky Wesleyan on Oct. 10. Both contests are scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
The 'Cats will hit the road for the only time in October when they travel to Butler on Oct. 17. Davidson then returns home for two-straight contests, hosting Marist for Family Weekend on Oct. 24 (1 p.m.) and Campbell on Oct. 31 (1 p.m.).
The month of November will start with a road trip for the Wildcats when they face Jacksonville at 1 p.m. on Nov. 7. Davidson will return home to host 2014 Pioneer League Champion San Diego on Nov. 14 at 1 p.m.
The regular-season finale is set for Nov. 21 when the 'Cats travel to Stetson for a 1 p.m. contest.
Ticket information will follow in the coming weeks.
