Leytham Tabbed A-10 Player of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Senior goalkeeper Emily Leytham has been named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
The Charlottesville, Va., native helped Davidson to a 1-1 weekend record as the Wildcats downed Saint Francis, 1-0 in overtime, before falling 2-1 at Lock Haven.
In the 1-0 overtime victory at Saint Francis on Friday, Leytham was peppered with shots all afternoon, but stood tall and turned away a career-high 14 shots. The win marked Leytham's third consecutive shutout and the Wildcat's third straight victory.
On Sunday, Leytham registered a save as the Wildcats suffered its first A-10 setback of the season at Lock Haven.
Leytham and the Wildcats return to Belk Turf Field Friday, Oct. 9 to take on Saint Louis at 5 p.m.
