Davis Named NorPac Offensive Player of the Week

RADFORD, Va. – Davidson's Anna Davis has been named the NorPac East Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 30. The announcement was made by the league office Monday afternoon.
The sophomore forward from Salisbury, Md., finished with a goal and an assist in the team's 2-1 win over Siena on Saturday in Richmond. Va. Davis netted the first goal of the game, putting the Wildcats on the board with a 1-0 lead just before half time. She would later assist on Katherine English's game winner with 15 minutes to play to ensure the 'Cats the victory.
Davis was an offensive leader in both contests, leading the squad with six shots in Sunday's 1-0 loss to VCU. She finished the weekend series with a total of 12 shots, eight of which came on goal.
Davidson returns to action this weekend when they head to Virginia for a pair of NorPac matches. The Wildcats are set to take on Liberty in a noon tilt on Saturday in Lynchburg before heading to Longwood for a 2 p.m. contest with the Lancers on Sunday.
