Davidson Football Spring Game and Festivities Set For April 20

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Davidson football program will play its annual spring game Saturday, April 20, at Stephen B. Smith Field in Richardson Stadium. The game will be the first openly public look at the new-look Wildcats now coached by Paul Nichols and his staff. Joining Nichols and his coaching staff on the sidelines will be former football players Alex Porter '60, Donnie Johnson '00, Boris Henderson '01, and Steve Smith '66 who will serve as guest coaches.
In addition the game on Saturday, the Davidson Gridiron Club will be sponsoring two events leading up to kickoff. On Friday, April 19, Flatiron Kitchen and Taphouse will host a reception for the Davidson football family. The reception begins at 6:00 pm and will feature appetizers and cash bar. Registration is currently open for that event.
Prior to game on Saturday, the Davidson Gridiron Club will sponsor a tailgate on Faculty Drive. Registration is now open for the tailgate, which takes place from 12:00 pm up until the 3:00 pm kickoff. Barbeque will be served.
