DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson field hockey team will host their first home NorPac contest of the season on Tuesday when they welcome in state rival Appalachian State to Belk Turf Field. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
vs. APPALACHIAN STATE
The Wildcats and the Mountaineers will face off for the second time this season and the 69th time overall. With last week's win in Boone, the 'Cats extended their series lead to 38-28-2. SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
The Mountaineers enter the match up at 2-8 on the season and 0-2 in the NorPac. App. State took a 3-2 victory from Saint Louis in Louisville, Ky., earlier this season and also downed Penn 3-2 in overtime. They have played three previous games at Belk Turf Field, going 0-3 against Georgetown, William & Mary and VCU. Most recently, they suffered a 3-2 overtime setback to NorPac foe Radford.
