ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Davidson junior forward Finley Amato was named to the Womensfieldhockey.com Division I honor roll for the week ending October 31, the website announced Thursday.
Amato was one of nine players recognized across the country for the week. She played a key role in securing the second seed in the NorPac East Division for Davidson, scoring a hat trick in an 8-3 win over Appalachian State last Wednesday and assisting on both goals in a 2-1 win over Radford Saturday.
Amato was named the NorPac East Offensive Player of the Week earlier in the week and was recognized as the division's player and offensive player of the year for a second straight season Wednesday.
This marks the second time in her career Amato has been recognized by Womensfieldhockey.com. She received the same award in the final week of the regular season last year.
Davidson will play in the NorPac Championship tournament today against UC Davis at 11 a.m. PST.
