Amato Named NorPac East Division Rookie of the Week

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Davidson field hockey player Finley Amato has been named NorPac East Division Rookie of the Week for the week of Sept. 1, as announced by the conference office.
Amato scored her first career goal in the 32nd minute, which proved the game-winner, in Davidson's 1-0 win over Sacred Heart. The freshman midfielder totaled a game-high four shots to help the Wildcats to their first win of the season.
Davidson will return to action this week, traveling to Washington, D.C. to face Georgetown and Cornell. The Wildcats play Georgetown Friday at 2 p.m. and Cornell the following afternoon at 2 p.m.
