Two Wildcats Named Academic All-District

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson football players Aaron Saltzman and Peter Kidwell have been named first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III in a vote conducted by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The duo will advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America Honors.
Saltzman has 17 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in six games for the Wildcats. The senior defensive lineman has played in 22 career contests and recorded 36 hits, nine tackles for loss and three sacks. He carries a 3.49 grade point average and is majoring in political science.
Kidwell, who carries a 3.33 grade point average, has played in all eight games this season and started the last four. The sophomore defensive back leads the team with two interceptions and has recorded 38 tackles, two tackles for loss and a pass break-up. He has played in 18 career contests and has 50 tackles.
The Wildcats return to action at PFL opponent San Diego Saturday in a 1 p.m. (PST) kickoff.
