Brit Donaldson Named NorPac East Rookie of the Week

RADFORD, Va. – Charlotte-native Brit Donaldson was named the Northern Pacific Field Hockey Conference East Division Rookie of the Week by the conference office on Tuesday, becoming the third member of the Davidson field hockey team to earn the honor this season.
Donaldson, a product of Charlotte Country Day School, recorded her first collegiate points in a pair of matches last week. On Wednesday versus UC Davis, Donaldson scored her first collegiate goal to cap a 4-2 win over UC Davis. She added a goal and an assist on Saturday in a 7-0 win over Catawba.
Nine different players scored for Davidson in the two matches, making Donaldson just one of two 'Cats to record multiple goals.
Through six weeks, Davidson has claimed half of the weekly rookie honors. Finley Amato garnered the award after the first week of play and Annie Evans earned it the following week.
Davidson will travel to Richmond, Va. next to face Saint Louis on Saturday, Oct. 10 and Virginia Commonwealth on Sunday, Oct. 11. Both matches are scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
