DAVIDSON, N.C. — Coming off three straight conference wins and the first sweep over the Eastern divison since 2003, the Davidson Wildcat field hockey squad will host the No.1-ranked and undefeated University of North Carolina Tar Heels tomorrow night at 7 p.m. at Belk Turf Field.
Davidson is riding a three-game winning streak with wins over NorPac conference foes Longwood (3-2 in double-OT), Radford (2-0) and Appalachian State (3-2) into tomorrow's game, in search of the program's first-ever win over UNC. Leading scorer Kayli Maxwell leads the nation in goals per game with 1.25 and is second in points per game (3.0/g).
