DAVIDSON, N.C. — Fresh off an upset by No. 6 Appalachian State, the third-seeded Pacific Tigers ended the fourth-seeded Davidson Wildcats' season with a 4-1 victory in the consolation game of the 2006 NorPac Field Hockey Conference Championship on Friday morning at Belk Turf Field.
Davidson finishes the season with an 8-13 overall mark, while Pacific improves to 11-8.
Junior forward Catherine Ransone provided the team's only scoring, getting the first score of the game and putting Davidson on the board in just the third minute of play, on a pass from junior forward Eleanor Cowley.
