George Weicker '75

Weicker was a football standout at linebacker for three seasons. He also earned first team All-America honors as a member of the baseball team in 1975. He hit .448 in '75 and led the nation in slugging percentage with .810. That is still a school record for slugging percentage and he holds the school record for consecutive hits with 11. Weicker played professional baseball in the Cincinnati Reds organization and reached the Triple A level. He is a high school baseball coach in Madison, Tenn.
