A two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American selection, Brenna Burns was one of the most successful distance runners in Davidson history. Upon her graduation, Brenna was the school record holder on the cross-country trails in the 5K (17:39.22). In addition, she held the top indoor 3K (9:53.37), 5K (17:08.63), outdoor 5K (16:51.35) and 10K (35:48.41) marks. Along with being a two-time all-conference selection in cross country, Brenna was the Southern Conference Indoor 3K Champion (2007), Outdoor 5K & 10K Champion (2008) and was named the Most Outstanding Track Performer at the 2007 SoCon Indoor Championships. A 2007 NCAA East Regional Qualifier in the 5K, Brenna was also a Bryan Scholar and a recipient of the NCAA Walter Byers Postgraduate Scholarship.
