DAVIDSON, N.C. - The Davidson football team will don an all-black look at home when it plays on Stephen B. Smith Field at Richardson Stadium, the coaching staff revealed to the team during a meeting Wednesday afternoon.
The 2014 football team reported Wednesday and opens practice Thursday.
The Nike jerseys are black with red sleeves and white numbers trimmed in red, while the pants are black with red and white stripes on the hips.
The helmet is matte black with a red stripe that starts off wide in the center, but tapers to a point towards the back. The left side of the helmet features Davidson's 'D' ligature mark, while the right side features the player's number in the Davidson font in white with a red trim.
The 'Cats last wore all black in the early 2000's.
